Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday approved a proposal to include 4 lakh more beneficiaries in the Madhubabu Pension Yojana.
With this, the total number of beneficiaries has increased from 32.75 lakh to 36.75 lakh. The State Government would spend Rs 190.20 crore for this purpose.
The people in different regions had requested 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman VK Pandian during his tour to the districts to include more beneficiaries in the scheme.
Notably, the Chief Minister had on August 2023 approved inclusion of 4.13 lakh people in this scheme.
