As many as 49.5 per cent of Odia women said teeth colour is the foremost thing they notice in men when they meet first time, reveals a survey conducted by the matrimonial portal Shaadi.com.
The survey also shows that 25.6 per cent women believe that bad breath is a negative criterion for them whereas 9.2 per cent consider body odour as the biggest turnoff. On the other side, 35.3 per cent Odia men give a thumb down to the women who talk too much. Similarly 23.5 per cent men consider body odour as their biggest turnoff followed by teeth colour with 21.2 per cent.
Surprisingly, 56.4 per cent Odia men said they would not come with spectacles to meet their potential partners for first time as they believe that it would ruin their marriage prospects. On the other hand, 62.6 per cent of Odia women opined that they would wear spectacles during their first meeting, which indicates that in the age of women empowerment women themselves are giving in to the stereotype of being liked or accepted on the basis of their appearance.
Shaadi.com COO Gourav Rakshit said the survey indicates that first impression is still very important when a boy and girl meet for the first time.
