Under the Mukhya Mantri Kalakar Sahayata Yojana, the Jagatsinghpur district administration on Thursday released two months’ pension for 488 artists following instruction from new Collector Sangram Keshari Mohapatra.
According to sources, 1,246 artists from eight blocks and two municipal areas of Jagatsinghpur district had been selected for getting pension under the State Government’s Kalakar Sahayat Yojana in PEETHA camps held across the district on December 15, 2018.
The beneficiary artists had been given one month’s pension of Rs 1,200. However, till end of May 2019, no further pension had been given to them.
