Police have seized ganja weighing 486 kg and worth Rs 25 lakh and arrested seven youths in this connection.
Acting on a tipoff about the contraband being transported in a container, the Jeypore police intercepted the vehicle at the Satiguda bridge on Tuesday and arrested the accused.
During the search of the vehicle in the presence of an Executive Magistrate, 93 packets of ganja were recovered from it.
Police also seized five mobile phones, cash of Rs 4850, a moped without registration number, a container truck and 130 packets of kapas seed.
The arrested were identified as Madhu Pangi of Lamtaput, Jayaram Khada of Lamtaput, Pramod Kishani of Lamtaput, Mahammad Salim of Haryana, Mahammad Majlis of Haryana, Mahammad Sahib of Haryana, and Parvej of Rajasthan.
