Capital city Bhubaneswar on Sunday recorded 483 new Covid-19 positive cases, taking the total tally to 13,295, including 5,014 active ones.
Out of the news cases, 205 were from quarantine and 278 were local contacts.The quarantine cases included eight from Saheed Nagar, eight from Satya Vihar, seven from Unit-9 IDCO Colony, six police staffs, six cases from Ganganagar, four Central Government hospital staffs, four cases from Raj Bhavan Colony, four from VSS Nagar, four from Unit-9, four of Chinamaneswar, three of Sampur, three of Sameigadia and three of Patia Maruti Villa.The local contacts included 14 cases of Unit-9, 12 of Nayapalli, 11 of Patia, 11 of Kalinga Nagar, 11 of Saheed Nagar, 10 of Unit-9 IDCO Colony, nine of Niladri Vihar, seven of Rasulgarh, four of Old Town, four of Laxmisagar, four of VSS Nagar, four of Badagada Brit Colony, three of Salia Sahi, three of Palaspalli and three of Palaspalli Lane-2.
However, 354 persons recovered on the day in the city, taking the total recoveries to 8,221.Cuttack registered 195 new positive cases, takingcity’s total tally to 6,175. Of new cases, 91 were local contacts, 62 from home quarantine and 42 from institutional quarantine.
