Bhubaneswar on Wednesday registered 471 new Covid-19 positive cases, with which the State capital city’s total positives’ tally rose to 72,354. Out of the new cases, 353 were local contacts and 118 were from quarantine.
The local contacts included 14 cases from Jharpada, 13 from Laxmisagar, 12 from Mancheswar, 11 from Nayapalli, nine from Dumduma, eight cases each from Badagada, Khandagiri Bari and Gajapati Nagar and seven cases from Bomikhal.Currently, the active cases in the city stood at 12,097. On Thursday, three persons succumbed to the disease in the city, with which the total death toll increased to 328.However, 1,062 patients recovered on the day, increasing the total recoveries to 59,908.
