As many as 460 new Covid-19 positive cases were detected under the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) area on Thursday.
With this, the total positive tally rose to 14,492 in the city.Of the new cases, 185 were from quarantine and 275 local contacts.
However, 405 persons recovered from the infection on the day taking the total recoveries to 9,755 in the city. So far, out of the total positive cases, 5,077 are active ones while 9,350 persons have recovered and 52 have succumbed to the disease.
“Further contact tracing are still continuing. Primary contacts and nearby houses are being quarantined, sanitised and will be under active surveillance.
All new positive cases have been shifted to Covid Hospitals,” the BMC said.
