As many as 43 residents of Ward-11 of the Khariar NAC were affected by diarrhea on Saturday. Most of them were also complaining of headache.All the patients were admitted to the Community Health Centre here. As there was no space in the patient wards, they were accommodated in the staircase and varanda of the hospital for administration of medicine and saline.Dr Aditya Joshi of the CHC said,“The people who are suffering from diarrhoea had attended a feast on Friday night. The diarrhoea might have been caused due to some poisoned or contagious food in the feast.“We have taken all precaution to restrict the spread of diarrhoea. The patients are now recovering.”
