In a further declining trend, Bhubaneswar on Monday registered 424 new Covid-19 positive cases, with which the city’s total tally rose to 80,909.
Out of the new cases, 369 were local contacts and 55 quarantine cases. The local contacts included 15 from Jharpada, 12 from Dumduma, 10 from Chandrasekharpur, eight each from Jayadev Vihar and Badagada and seven each from GGP Colony, IRC Village and Khandagiri. Currently, the active cases in the city stood at 7,922.
Meanwhile, three more persons succumbed to the disease, mounting the city’s total death toll to 358. However, 1,295 patients recovered on the day, increasing the total recoveries to 72,608.
