A 4-year-old boy has been abducted after being lured of snacks near his house at Munda Sahi under the Badachana police limits in Jajpur district.
The family alleged that a rag-picker kidnapped the boy on Thursday afternoon on the pretext of offering him fried snacks.
“He was playing with other children near the house at around 4 pm on Thursday. I searched him everywhere near the house but did not trace him. Locals told me that a rag-picker was loitering here with his litter daughter. He might have taken away my son by alluring him of giving ‘Vada’,” said the mother of the boy called Chintu.
The family lodged a missing complaint at the Dhanmandal police outpost on same day.
