An incident of brutal murder of four members of a family, including two women, triggered panic at Joranda, the famous seat of the Mahima cult, in Dhenkanal on Sunday.
According to reports, local people found the bodies of a local mason Makardhwaj Behera, his wife, son and daughter with their throat slit open in the early morning hours of Sunday.
The reason of the ghastly murder was yet to be known. A scientific team started investigation.The body of Makardhwaj’s son was found in a pool of blood inside the house while those of the three others were traced from a well. The sent the bodies for postmortem.
