The Commissionerate police on Sunday nabbed four more persons in connection with the violence at the Unit-II Market Building in the city on Friday evening.
As per initial reports, the four arrested accused were identified as college-going minors. With these arrests, a total of 22 persons have been rounded up so far in connection with the case. Among the arrestees, 12 are said to be minors.
Police apprehended the four on Sunday after conducting a number of raids in the city and its surroundings. Notably, a group of armed hooligans wearing masks had gone on a rampage and ransacked many shops besides attacking street vendors in the Market Building. It is suspected that the attack was fallout of a brawl that took place between a watch vendor and a woman and her male friend recently.
