Four persons were killed and 35 others injured when a Maidalpur-Nabarangpur mini bus overturned at Khutiaguda near Charamula village on Saturday. Police sources said the deceased were Nandai Pujari (60) of Jhira Harijan and Rupai Majhi (55) who were killed at the spot while Baisakhu Bindhani and another passenger died while being sifting to the Koraput hospital. The injured persons are under treatment at the Nabarangpur and Koraput hospitals.
Nabarangpur Sub-Collector Parikhit Seth, along with ZP President Motiram Nayak rushed to the spot and paid Rs 5,000 from the Red Cross fund and Rs 2,000 of Harichandra assistance to the relatives of the deceased persons.
