The city Commissionerate police on Saturday arrested four persons for opening fire at a youth of Jhola Sahi here on September 23.
The accused, during interrogation, said they had received a payment (Supari) of Rs 1 lakh to eliminate Rajesh Pal following a rift among the members of the local Puja Committee, city DCP Praveen Kumar told reporters.
He also said that the investigation is on to ascertain the involvement of others in the incident.The condition of the injured youth, undergoing treatment at the SCB Medical College Hospital, is stated to be stable.
