Ganjam Additional District and Sessions Judge Deepak Kumar on Tuesday convicted four youths involved in the gang-rape of a minor girl at the back side of the MKCG Medical College Hospital’s new building in 2016 and sentenced them to undergo 25 years of imprisonment.
The judge also asked the convicted Bena Nahadur, Satya Patro, Manoj Jena and Silu Behera to pay a fine of Rs 50,000 each and in default to undergo another year of imprisonment.
Judge Kumar directed the district Collector and the District Legal Service Authority Secretary to pay the requisite financial assistance to the victim.
It might be mentioned here that the four accused had abducted the victim from a nearby area and later committed the rape.
