Four persons were killed when a Cuttack-bound truck collided head on with another truck on NH-55 at Jamunali under the Jarpada police limits in Angul district late on Sunday night.
As the speed limits of the trucks were high, the intensity of the accident was very severe, as a result of which the two truck drivers and a helper of a truck died on the spot. The injured were rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital at Angul and then they were shifted to the SCB Medical College Hospital when their conditions deteriorated further. Another person succumbed to his injuries at the hospital on Monday. Notably, a couple of days back, an engineer and three labourers were killed when a truck ran over them on the same road at laxmidharpur, two km away from Jamunali.
