Four cousins, all minors, drowned in a pond while taking bath at Barabanka Sahi under the Sadar police station of Dhenkanal on Monday.
While two of them were boys, two others were girls. According to reports, family members of the deceased spotted the bodies floating in the pond.
Earlier, their relatives had frantically searched for them in the locality as they didn’t return home. All of them were declared dead at the District Headquarters Hospital.
The bodies were sent for postmortem by police, who started investigation into the matter after registering an UD case.
