The laxmisagar police here on Wednesday arrested four youths in connection with the murder of Manmohan Pradhan, an MPharma student, near the Chintamaniswar pond on Monday night.
While three arrested youths, Kamal Chandra Rout alias Tutu (26), Swadhina Swain alias Bapuji (24) and Muna Rout (23) belong to the laxmisagar area, the other, Rajesh Bhadra alias Gunu (23), hails from Kendrapada district and is now residing in the Palsuni area under the Mancheswar police station here.
They were booked under Section 302 / 34 of the IPC and forwarded to court, said laxmisagar police station IIC Kishore Chandra Mund, adding that a manhunt is on to nab the other accused.
“We have traced the whereabouts of the prime accused and those of the two others and will arrest them shortly,” added Mund.
