State capital city Bhubaneswar on Tuesday registered 376 new Covid-19 positive cases, taking its total tally to 14,065, which included 5,053 active cases.
Out of the new cases, 231 were local contacts and 149 were quarantine cases.
However, there were more recovery cases than positive cases on the day as 420 patients recovered from the disease, taking the total recoveries to 8,949 in the city.
Further contact tracing was still continuing. Primary contacts and nearby houses were being quarantined, sanitised and would be under active surveillance.
All the new positive cases have been shifted to Covid Hospitals.
