Officially around 38 Odia pilgrims are still missing in Uttarakand even as three more persons stranded at vulnerable locations in the Himalayan State that faced a disaster recently were on Monday rescued taking the total visitors who returned home safe to 372.
There is information of 38 more persons from Odisha missing in Uttarakhand, said Special Relief Commissioner’s office in-charge Pravat Mohapatra, quoting information of the Odisha Bhawan in New Delhi.
The three persons who were rescued and sent to Odisha on Monday are Raghunath Senapati, Niranjan Patro and Aruni Kumari Patro. They were received by the Odisha Bhawan team at Rishikesh. Since the rescue operation of persons trapped in Uttarakhand is virtually completed barring the untraced 38 Odias, the Special Resident Commissioner on Monday relieved the officers and doctors team deployed at Haridwar, Rishikesh and Dehradun from Badrinath.
