As many as 362 new Covid-19 positive cases were detected under the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) area on Wednesday.
With this, the total tally in the city rose to 17,295 cases, out of which 4,524 were active ones.Of the new positive cases, 286 were local contact cases and 76 from quarantine, all linked to earlier positive cases.
Obviously, local contacts far outnumbered quarantine cases. However, as many as 406 persons recovered from the infection of the day, taking the city’s total recoveries to 12,694.
