Bhubaneswar on Sunday registered 354 new Covid-19 positive cases, taking the State capital city’s total tally to 23,230, out of which 3,535 were active cases. Out of the new cases, 246 were local contacts and 108 quarantine cases.
The local contacts included 18 cases from Patia, 15 from Jharpada, 12 from Nayapalli, 11 from Samantrapur, 10 each from Jharpada and IRC Village, nine from Unit-6, eight each from Saheed Nagar and Chandrasekharpur, seven each from Dumduma and Jharpada, six from Unit-9, five each from Mancheswar, Niladri Vihar, Badagada and Khandagiri.
The quarantine cases included nine from Patia, eight from Samantrapur, six from Unit-9, five each from Jayadev Vihar and Dumduma, six from Unit-2 and five from Unit-3.
Two more succumbed to the virus in the city on the day, pushing the total death toll to 102. However, 318 more patients recovered from the disease on the day, taking total recoveries to 19,573.
