Out of the 506 new Covid-19 cases registered in Khordha district on Monday, 342 (67.5%) were recorded in State capital city Bhubaneswar alone. With this, the city’s tally surged to 21,197.
As many as 231 cases were local contacts while remaining 111 were detected from quarantine.The local contact cases included 16 in Chandrasekharpur, 12 in Patia, nine in Nayapalli, eight cases each in Aiginia, IRC Village and Sailashree Vihar, seven each in Patrapada, Laxmisagar, Jharpada and Niladri Vihar, six each in Rasulgarh and Unit-8, five in Unit-3, four each of Kalinga Nagar, Khandagiri and Chakeisiani.The quarantine cases linked with earlier positive cases included 10 of Patia, seven of Laxmisagar, six each of Chakeisiani, Shailashree Vihar, Chandrasekharpur and Saheed Nagar and four cases of VSS Nagar.
