Bhubaneswar on Thursday registered 341 new Covid-19 positive cases. With this, the total tally in the city surged to 90,222. This was a decrease from the 417 cases reported on Wednesday. Out of the new cases, 282 were local contacts and 59 were quarantine cases.
The local contacts included 20 cases in Patia, 15 each in Patrapada and Khandagiri, 10 in Mancheswar, nine each in Unit-6, Nayapalli and Samantarapur and eight each in Baramunda and Rasulgarh.Currently, the active cases stood at 1,320 in the city.
Meanwhile, five more patients succumbed to the disease in the city on the day, mounting the total death toll to 455. However, 363 persons recovered on the day, increasing total recoveries to 88,767.
