Around 34 children, including 20 girls, are yet to be traced who were reported missing at different police stations in Khordha district during 2013-15.
In 2015, 16 girl child aged between 9 and 5 years went missing. Besides three nine-year-old girls are missing since 2013 while one 6-year-old girl went missing this year. Similarly, 14 boys aged above 15 years, except one three-year-old have been missing for the last three years.
Sources from the Khordha Sadar police station said six boy and five girl child have gone missing in the year 2014 and 15. It is suspected that the 20 girl child have been trafficked by some anti-socials. The police and district administration should act promptly to trace the children, said a villager.
