The Higher Education Department on Tuesday dropped 336 examiners from the panel of examiners for the Annual Plus-II Examinations-2015 for their alleged goof-up in the evaluation of answer-sheets last year. “These teachers had been served show-cause notices. As they, excepting one, failed to respond, we dropped them,” said HE Additional Secretary Durga Prasad Behera.
He said examiners who were dropped from the panel include 13 from Govt-run colleges like the BJB College and Rama Devi College in Bhubaneswar, Phulbani Govt College and Dharanidhar College in Keonjhar. “Departmental proceedings will be initiated against these examiners who include chief examiners, deputy chief examiners and examiners,” Behara said, informing that their increments might be withheld. It may be noted that the Practical Examinations for the Plus-II Science students is now underway.
