The State Government has reportedly engaged 336 examiners, who had been served show-cause notices for faulty evaluation of plus two answer sheets last year, in the ongoing evaluation, raising eyebrows among many. The Higher Education Department, after an investigation, had served show-cause notices on these teachers on February 3 this year.
Higher Education Additional Secretary Durga Prasad Behera had even stated at a Press briefing that 13 Government teachers would be suspended and the department would write to private college governing bodies seeking dismissal of the remaining teachers.
According to sources, a total of 14,076 teachers were called up for evaluation of annual Plus Two papers this year. But as most of the Government college teachers withdrew from the evaluation, the department had requested the private college teachers, including these 336 teachers, for evaluation.
