As many as 3,308 BPl families under Ali block in Kendrapada district lodged FIRs against Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday alleging that the BJD Government headed by him is cheating the people by supplying 25 kg of rice instead of 35 kg to them.
Under the leadership of the Congress, BPl people from 32 GPs under the block came to the Ali police station and submitted the FIRs to IIC Pramod Kumar lenka.
On this occasion, a meeting was also organised at which Pradesh Congress Committee observer Prabhat Kumar Mahapatra said the BJD Government has been regularly cheating the people in every aspect and it would have to restore the 10 kg of balance rice denied to BPl families soon.
Among others, District Congress Committee president Debendra Sharma, former Ali MlA Dolagobinda Nayak, Ali block Congress president Pratap Jena, District Youth Congress president Mitu Das, Ali block youth Congress president Ambuja Das and former Zilla Parishad member Dhana Ranjan Bose led the programme.
