Continuing their drive against ganja smuggling, the Rourkela police arrested two persons and seized ganja weighing over 32 kg from a car during checking on National Highway-143 on Tuesday night.
The two arrestees were identified as Biswajit Kumar and Dinesh Keshari, both natives of Bihar. Biswajit was residing in the Railway Colony here.
Sources said while checking vehicles on Vedvyas-Kumarmunda Road, the police intercepted the car transporting the contraband to Bihar from Sambalpur.
Besides ganja, the cops seized the car, four mobile phones and `7,540 cash from the possession of the
detainees.
A case has been registered at the Brahmani Tarang police station in the connection and the accused duo were forwarded to court on Wednesday, police said.
