As many as 310 sheds and plots which were allotted for establishment of industrial units in different industrial areas in the city have been misutilised, informed Industries Minister Debi Prasad Mishra in the Assembly on Thursday.
The sheds and plots utilised other than the purpose of allotment include 232 in the Mancheswar Industrial Estate, 67 in the Chandaka Industrial Area and one at the Infocity, Chandaka Industrial area and were allotted to 236 companies. Against such misutilisaiton, cancellation letters have been issued for 124 plots and sheds.
The Minister informed this in a written reply to a question put by member Debasis Nayak.The Minister informed that six survey teams formed by the Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO) had conducted investigations for three days from December 29 to 31, 2012 and submitted a report.
