A land pattas distribution programme was organised by the district administration at Chandragiri under Mohana block in Gajapati district here on Friday.
Following the instruction of Gajapti district Collector Basudev Bahinipati, 18,816 acre of land pattas were distributed among around 308 beneficiaries in four villages, including Chndragiri, laba, Kumulasingi and Sagadi in presence of Additional District Magistrate Sunil Kumar Nayak and Mohana Tehsildar Saumendra Kumar Das at the office of the Revenue department in Chndragiri.
After a long controversy regarding the land distribution, the decision was taken by the State Government in last May and pattas were distributed after proper identification.
