Three youths of Rajgangpur town in Sundargarh district drowned in river Shankha while taking bath on Sunday evening. The bodies of two youths Taslim Akhtar (21) and MD Sadam (22) were recovered on Monday while Tosib Raja (21), who was also believed to have drowned, was yet to be traced.
Five college students, all of them of Rajgangpur town, had come to Bhalupatra area for a picnic. At around 3.30pm, they went into the river to take bath. Suddenly, three of them drowned in the water while the rest two managed to come out of the river.
The corpses of the two youths have been sent for post mortem and search is on to trace another youth, said Brahmani Tarang PS IIC U Pradhan.
