In a tragic incident, three youths travelling on a motorbike were killed in an accident at Ring Road here in the wee hours of Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Mantu Badai of Sector-20 of the steel city, Sanjay Badai of lathikata and Ashok Badai of Birsa. The trio was returning home after attending a marriage party at Deogaon village, sources said.
Around 10 to 12 persons, including the three youths, had gone to the marriage party on Friday night. The other persons, who were too returning home by bikes after the party, found the three youths lying on road in seriously injured conditions. They admitted the trio to the Ispat General Hospital (IGH), where doctors declared them brought dead.
Being informed, police reached the spot and started investigation. Efforts were on to ascertain whether the ill-fated bike dashed against a road divider, or a heavy vehicle hit it from behind, sources said.
