Three women Maoists surrendered before police in Jajpur district on Thursday.

They were identified as Basanti  alias Rashmi Champia (19)  of  Kaliapani , Santi alias Jyoti Badara (20)  and Suturei alias Jayanti Palea  (18) of Baligotha under Kalinganagar police station in the district .

They had worked under the leadership of  Maoist leader Sushil, said  SP Anup Sahoo.

The three along with other Maoists had torched the police outpost at Bansapala in Keonjhar district six

years back. They also damaged a mobile tower last year in Keonjhar district, added the SP.
