The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has decided to cancel three trains and short-terminate two other trains in the Sambalpur-Balangir Railway Section on Saturday for taking up subway-related works between Barpali and Dungripali. An official release informed that the Bhubaneswar-Balangir Inter City Express would be short-terminated at Sambalpur and would return as the Balangir-Bhubaneswar Inter City Express from there to Bhubaneswar. And hence the services of Bhubbaneswar-Balangir-Bhubaneswar Inter City Express would remain cancelled between Sambalpur and Balangir on Saturday. Similarly, the Sambalpur-Koraput-Sambalpur passenger, the Jharsuguda-Titilagarh-Jharsuguda passenger and the Sambalpur-Junagarh-Sambalpur passenger would be cancelled on the day from both the directions.
