As per Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s decision to make the National Highways safe and save the lives of accident victims, the Ganjam police have rolled out three patrolling vehicles for the district.
These vehicles would patrol the stretch of NHs between Rambha to Khordha, Ramba to Chhatrapur and Chattrapur to Gopalpur on 24x 7 basis. Besides, they would keep a eye on the violators, who break the road rules, said Ganjam SP Brijesh Kumar Rai at a function held recently at the Chhatrapur Reserve Police Ground.
Chhatrapur MLA Subash Chandra Behera, MLA Khallikote Suryamani Baidya, Ganjam Sub-Collector Kabindra Kumar Sahu, Ganjam RTO Bikash Chandra Chaudhary.
Additional SP Thakur Prasad Patro and Bijay kumar Mallick, DIBD SP Ajay Kumar Mishra, Asst Commandant Manas Ranjan Mohanty and Chatrapur PS IIC Priyasa Ranjan Chottoray were among others present.
