The State Government has formed a three-member committee to probe the reason behind Saturday’s fire mishap at the Apollo Hospitals here.
Khordha district Collector Nirmal Chandra Mishra told reporters on Sunday, “The three-member committee headed by the Additional District Medical Officer (ADMO) has been asked to probe the causes of the fire outbreak and submit a report by February 6.”
It may also be mentioned that Director General of Fire Services Bijay Kumar Sharma, had on Saturday ordered an inquiry into the fire mishap and directed the Central Range Fire Officer for the probe.
Notably, the fire broke out on the fifth floor of the hospital at around 10 am. The fire started at the battery room, which also houses the ICUs and the administrative block.
