The District Court Judge on Saturday convicted three persons in a murder case and awarded them life imprisonment.
The convicted, Satyanand Parida, Bhaskar Khatua and Santosh Satpathy, had drugged one Chandrasekhar Panda in 2014 following which he died.
Sources said that Chandrasekhar had on September 12, 2014 come to the MKCG Medical College Hospital for treatment of his son.
He was sleeping in a Mandap near the hospital when the three accused drugged him in order to loot him. However, he didn’t recoup from the drug impact and died next day under treatment.
The Baidyanathpur police conducted investigation acting on the complaint of Chandrasekhar’s wife and nabbed the three.
