A three-day SAI Model United Nations (SAIMUN) Conference was inaugurated at the SAI International School here on Friday, with State School and Mass Education Minister Debi Prasad Mishra inaugurating the event.
The conference with the theme ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam- One World, one family’ is being held to debate on various issues of global concern for which intervention of students is of paramount importance. Nearly, 15 nations and over 450 delegates from various schools have participated in the conference.
School Chairman Dr Bijoy Sahoo said that the summit aims at bringing a dynamic change in the thought process of the students by widening their horizon and giving them a chance to learn about global issues by way of researching, reading, deliberating, discussing and negotiating.
Among others, Bhubaneswar MlA (North) Priyadarshi Mishra and Industries Department Secretary and IDCO CMD Vishal Dev were present.
