Three brothers died of asphyxiation in a tunnel of their house at Birikote village under the Adaba police station in Gajapati district on Saturday. They were identified as Bikram Majhi (24), Sanjib Majhi (27) and Jitu Majhi (30). Sources said one of the brothers first went into the tunnel of their house to retrieve an ATM card that had accidentally fallen into it. When he did not come out after a long time, his elder and younger brothers, being suspicious, got into the tunnel. Unfortunately, all of them suffocated and fell sick.
Later, they was rescued and rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared them dead. Police reached the spot and initiated an inquiry in this connection.
