The Kendrapada Town police on Saturday arrested three personnel of the Artha Tawta (AT) Group, who were working in the company’s Kendrapada town branch, in order to conduct an inquiry into the alleged swindling of Rs10 crore of public money.
The company officials duped investors after luring them with a promise to provide them double their investments within 27 months and also to provide a 3 per cent dividend per month against Rs1 lakh.
Notably, the investors a couple of days back had lodged an FIR at the Town police station against the company. On Friday, police had conducted a raid at the AT group office at Tinimuhani with the help of the Kendrapada Tehsildar and seized several documents, computers and other items.
