The expansion work of the Brahmapur Stadium would be completed by next year (2020) and steps have been initiated for construction of a second sports complex in the city.
Sports and Youth Services Minister Tusharkanti Behera stated this in the State Assembly while replying to a question of MLA Bikram Keshari Panda on Friday.
The Minister further informed that the Government has no proposal to set up an indoor stadium at the KC High School playground and basketball, tennis and volleyball courts in open spaces in the city.
