The Commissionerate police on Monday filed a second chargesheet against notorious pimp Sunil Meher in connection with his alleged involvement in a sex racket in a running car.
In the 150-page chargesheet filed at a local court, police have named a mines trader, besides Meher, as accused. Sources said police have mentioned the names of as many as ten witnesses in the report.
On August 12, almost three and a half months after arresting Meher from Kolkata, the police had filed the first chargesheet against him.
In the 300-page chargesheet, the police had named nine of his city-based aides, who were working as agents for him. Sunil has over 100 such agents across the country who works as middlemen or facilitator between customers and sex workers, including foreign girls, it said.
A total of 12 cases have been registered against Meher, who has been arrested at least seven times in the State since 2010. Police said he had links with almost all sex rackets busted in the State in the last few months. Police also strongly suspect Meher has links with an international sex racket busted at Chandrasekharpur here on March 23 where a 30-year-old Kyrghese woman was rescued and a pimp, owing allegiance to Meher, arrested.
