State capital Bhubaneswar on Sunday registered 293 Covid-19 cases, with which the total tally in the city went up to 1,06,559 in the city.Notably, the city had reported 187 cases on Saturday.
Out of the 293 new cases, 255 were local contacts and 38 were from quarantine. The local contacts included 33 cases in Patia followed by 10 each in Nayapalli and Khandagiri and eight each in Bhimtangi, Unit-6 and Laxmisagar.
The active cases in the city stood at 3,344.So far, 990 patients have succumbed to the disease in the city. However, 252 persons recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours, increasing the total recoveries to 1,02,204.
