A 29-year-old youth was shot dead by three bike- borne unidentified miscreants on Thursday near BJD party office at Chandikhole. The miscreants opened five rounds of bullets on Dipak Kumar Nayak of Nuasunguda area resulting in his death on the spot near the BJD party office while he was talking with his friends. “At 7.30 pm, three bike borne persons suddenly came near Dipak who at that time was talking with his friends and one of them opened fire at him and fled from the spot soon after committing the crime,” said an eyewitness. Meanwhile, Badachana police have started investigation and launched a manhunt to nab the culprits. The police suspect the murder to be the fallout of business rivalry.
