The second National lok Adalat was held in the court premises of Talcher where a total of 2,683 cases were finalized.
In the court of SDJM, out of 4,053 cases, 2,453 cases were finalized and an amount of Rs1, 17, 330 was collected as penalty. 135 insurance compensation cases were decided by Additional District Judge Pradyumna Kumar Nayak and Rs 1, 66,087 was given to the complainants and at the same time, 95 cases regarding property, bank and marriage disputes were finalized by senior Civil Judge Tanmaya Kumar Mohanty. Talcher Bar Association president Santosh Kumar Sahoo, general secretary Arjun Bhutia, senior advocate Arun Shankar Mishra and members of the Bar coordinated.
