As many as 240 Assistant Managers and 26 System Managers were inducted into service in different Central Cooperative Banks (CCBs) at the district level in the State on Thursday.
Joining an orientation programme for the new entrants virtually, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said this would enable these banks to have quality manpower at the front offices and infuse professionalism in their functioning. Farmers would benefit from this by way of better service delivery under financial inclusion and credit dispensation.
He said the Cooperative Banks and Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACSs) provide around 60% of the total crop loans disbursed in the State.
