The State on Tuesday reported 22 new Covid-19 deaths, mounting the total toll to 8,926.
Baleswar district reported six deaths, Khordha five, Cuttack and Dhenkanal three each, Mayurbhanj two and Bhadrak, Jajpur and Nayagarh one each.
Meanwhile, the State continued to report daily positive cases below 1,000 for the second consecutive day with 925 infections in the 30 districts and the State pool. With this, the total tally surged to 12,79,046.
Among the newly-infected were 203 children in the age group of 0 to18 years.
In the last 24 hours, 55,580 samples were tested and the test positivity rate (TPR) was 1.66%.
Khordha district reported highest 159 cases.
Notably, 859 cases were recorded on Monday.
