The State Government on Monday effected a major reshuffle in senior IAS level transferring 21 officers and three OAS officers. As many as eight district Collectors were shifted in the process.As per the notification of the General Administration Department, Rural Development Principal Secretary Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra was shifted to Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare. The 1988 batch officer would in additional charge of Special Relief Commissioner (SRC), which was being handled by him.
Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Principal Secretary Madhu Sudan Padhi replaced Mohapatra. Padhi, a 1991 batch officer was given additional charge Managing Director of Omfed.
While 2003 batch officer Srikanta Prusty was appointed as Horticulture Director, his batch mate Dhiren Kumar Patnaik was posted as Agriculture and Farmers' Empowerment Department Additional Secretary. Sambalpur district Collector Balwant Singh of 2007 batch was posted as Technical Education & Training Director and also was given additional charge of Industries Director. 2011 batch officer Samarth Verma replaced Singh.
While 2008 batch IAS Guha Poonam Tapas Kumar was posed as new Rayagada district Collector her the incumbent Collector and senior OAS officer Jagannath Mohanty was shifted as Skill Development and Technical Education Additional Secretary.
Senior OAS Officer Purna Chandra Pathy was placed as Deogarh Collector in place of Collector Kumar Balangir Collector M Muthukumar of 2008 batch was posted as Higher Education Joint Secretary, while 2011 batch IAS Ashish Thakre replaced Muthukumar.
Similarly, 2008 batch IAS Yamini Sarangi was appointed as the new Jagatsinghpur district Collector replacing 2009 batch IAS Bijay Ketan Upadhyay. Upadhyay was posted as Fisheries Director.
D Prasanth K Reddy of 2009 batch was posted as Health and Family Welfare Joint Secretary while 2011 batch IAS K Sudarshan Chakravarty was appointed as Malkangir district Collector. Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Director Mansi Nimbhal of 2010 batch was posted as new SCERT Director.
Reghu G of 2011 was appointed as new Kanfhamal district Collector while his batch mate Arindam Dakua was posted as new Nayagarh district Collector. Four IAS officers of 2013 batch, Subham Saxena, Madhusnmita Sahoo, Kulange Vijay Amruta, Gavli Parag Harshad, were posted as PD DRDA Mayurbhanj, Koraput, Ganjam and Malkangiri, respectively. Similarly, their batch mate Monisha Banerjee was the appointed as the new Rourkela ADM.
