A total of 202 swab samples of people coming to Jharsuguda district from overseas and other States have been sent for examination.
Out of this, report of 109 samples are confirmed negative while report of 93 persons are yet to be received, district health sources said.
During the last few days, 60 persons have landed in the district from foreign countries and 2,494 from other States. The Health department has kept close attention on their health condition and samples of those showing corona symptoms are being sent for examination. Besides, mass health screening has been initiated in the district.
The health workers are making door- to- door visits to inquire about the health condition of the people. Till date, door-to-door survey of 52,039 households has been completed in Brajrajnagar Municipality, Jharsuguda block and Laikera block. Similarly, in Jharsuguda township, health scanning of 1, 10,7 52 members in 26, 186 houses and 39, 689 members in 8, 567 households has been done.
